Overview
Hi everyone, my name is Sophia Juliet. I was born and raised in Florida with my parents and younger brother. I grew up in the suburbs of Miami where I was constantly surrounded by familiar faces when going to the grocery store or out to eat at a local restaurant. I loved the cozy feeling I got from knowing that I had so many people. Although, my desire to seek the unknown began to grow.
Passion
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always dreamt about traveling. This impulse and dream really developed more over middle school when I would sit at my computer researching YouTube channels that gave a glimpse into the various different cities, landscapes, and people out there in this world.
My family has always enjoyed vacationing. We mostly would travel during the summer months and occasionally during the school year. I’m extremely grateful that I had the opportunity to see parts of the world with the people I love. Only to be expected, I got addicted to it. I started to research different parts of earth I longed to see, wrote down experiences I wanted to take part in, and completed a “bucket list” of places I needed to visit.
Summer 2022 was definitely a highlight period of my life. One of my best friends and I bought a ticket to Europe on New Year’s day (2022). We planned out our month-long trip to go backpacking for the next few months leading up to our travel date, June 6th. We landed in Spain but traveled to France and Italy as well. Twenty cities in less than 30 days. Needless to say, it was quite an experience; and it’s one I will never forget.

Currently
Currently, I’m living in Orlando, FL for school. I attend the University of Central Florida and I’m planning to graduate in May 2024. I spend my days completing school work, spending time with my roommates/friends, shopping, going to the gym and planning my next adventures. I’ve neveer been the type of person who can just “sit still”… it’s not in my nature and I wouldn’t trade my crave for adventure for anything.
I created runawayjuliet to share my experiences and to inspire others to try new things. I started this blog a while back (about 2 years ago), but I never posted because I was scared. Scared of the unknown and wondering if I’d ever become successful; however, I won’t let fear get in my way from pursuing my passion. I hope to provide helpful vacation and traveling tips for families, friends, and young adults who seek different world experiences. So excited for what’s to come!
